About The Camp Experience…

Open to Youth Ages 9 – 15

The Youth Life Center of The Arts is a dedicated incubator space committed to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship among youth in Clayton County and surrounding communities.

CampXpressions is the summer extension of the Youth Life Center’s year-round experience. This full-day, structured summer program blends fine arts instruction, enrichment activities, field experiences, and mentorship within a safe and engaging environment.

Each day includes a focused instructional block where youth participate in structured arts training, hands-on creative workshops, and collaborative projects designed to build skill, confidence, and creative discipline.

For some youth, CampXpressions provides meaningful exposure to the arts. For others, it offers concentrated training and portfolio development within a studio-style setting that supports artistic growth at every level.

Before and after the core instructional block, youth engage in supervised community-building activities, camp-style enrichment, and extended care.

Throughout the eight-week experience, participants take part in curated field trips and conclude the summer with a celebratory showcase highlighting their growth, discipline, and creative accomplishments.

💃🏽🕺🏾Where Discipline Meets Dynamic Movement

Youth Life Center of the Arts summer CampXpressions is proud to partner with Motion Collective Dance our phenomenal resident dance instructors with over 15 years of professional instructional experience. Coach Bryan and Nisha delivers an immersive dance experience designed to build strong foundations and powerful stage presence.

Students receive professional training in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, led by experienced instructors committed to developing technique, confidence, musicality, and performance readiness. Each session strengthens coordination, artistry, and the ability to move with intention — not just energy.

The experience culminates in a live showcase performance, where families witness firsthand the growth, discipline, and transformation that took place over the summer.

Many young creatives love fashion… but without structure, mentorship, and industry exposure, talent can remain untapped. At CampXpressions, we transform interest into skill and imagination into impact.

👗👔 The Youth Style Lab: Fashion Foundations experience (Ages 9–15), created and led by multidisciplinary creative professional Mr. Wayde Stubbs, introduces young aspiring designers, stylists, and visionaries both young ladies and gentlemen, to explore fashion history, textile fundamentals, trend innovation, and the art of developing a signature style. Through hands-on design, creative experimentation, and professional runway preparation, students build confidence, presentation skills, and performance excellence.

This is more than fashion.
It’s creative expression. It’s stage presence. It’s leadership in motion.

🎭 Acting & Performance Experience

Youth step into a dynamic training environment where creativity meets structure. Through guided instruction in acting, improvisation, stage direction, and performance techniques, participants develop confidence, communication skills, and authentic stage presence.

The experience includes role-playing, character study, monologue and scene work, collaborative set design, and rehearsal preparation — all within a supportive summer camp atmosphere that encourages exploration and growth.

The session culminates in a final showcase performance where families witness the discipline, creativity, and confidence developed throughout the program.

Spots are limited to maintain quality instruction and individualized attention.

Music & Sound At CampXpressions CampXpressions CampXpressions

Mr. C’s School of Music empowers students through high-quality music education and life development. Offering training in piano, drums, voice, and music fundamentals, the program also emphasizes etiquette, confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Founded by Joseph “Mr. C” Cunningham and powered by CE Music Group, the school prepares students to grow musically, mentally, and personally.

$100 registration fee required to reserve your child's space. Payment options available. Payments are due prior to service.

If your family receives CAPS, your parent fees are due in full prior to the start of each session.

Registration, field trip fee, or camp tuition payments are not transferable, refundable, or prorated.

CAPS Registration-Families Fees-and Field Trips

Registration fees are due at registration. If CAPS pays your registration fee, you will received a credit toward your FIELD TRIP FEES. Field trip fees are in addition to any FAMILY FEES determined by the CAPS program. CAPS will not cover field trip fees.
If your family receives CAPS, your parent fees are due in full prior to the start of each session.
